General Information

At the beginning of the year a Curriculum Overview is produced for each class, summarising the curriculum for the year. Each term a Curriculum Leaflet is sent home which offers further details on the terms curriculum and opportunities planned for the children.

Two Parent Consultation evenings are held during the school year to offer you the opportunity to meet with your child’s class teacher to discuss their progress and next steps. In addition we operate an open door policy, which encourages parents to arrange a meeting at a mutually convenient time with teaching staff after school, to discuss any concerns or ask any questions they may have about their child’s learning.

What is Delivering Special Provision Locally (DSPL)?

DSPL is a Hertfordshire-wide partnership approach where parents, staff in early years settings and schools, further education colleges, local authority officers and representatives from other agencies, work together as part of an Area Group, reviewing and developing the range of provision and support services available to their local community that :

  • Meets the needs of children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), aged 0-25, as close to home as possible.
  • Improves outcomes for wellbeing and attainment
  • Widens choice for children and parents/carers
  • Removes barriers to learning
  • Uses resources more effectively
